my guess is that it's a nice combo. maybe look around if you can get a 1050ti for it, is a bit newer and a bit more powerful

It would be ebtter if you look towards a used 760/960/1050Ti/ because the 750/ti is a not needed tier of GPU, now if this is what you budget and where you shop allows for then it is up to you but know you will be playing or low settings even if you had more RAM or a higher tier CPU. 

 

Do you have any issues with AMD, if not try a 470/570 if it meets your budget.

thanks i would get a 1050/1050ti but they go from 150-200 pounds which is over my budget but thanks

Your budget should determine what you buy, however the performance you expect may not be there with the 750ti.  If you're ok with playing games at 720 and/or reduced detail levels, then the 750ti may work for you.  Otherwise I would save up some more.  imo
