Will PUBG become more optimized eventually?

I really want to get it, but I'm not sure if my PC can run it (specs in signature) even at 720p minimum settings. Will it become more optimized in the future? Or will it stay like GTA IV, meaning incredibly unoptimized even in a final release? Thanks!

Just making sure you realize the difference between "optimized" and "able to run on old hardware"

Sort of. Optimized means it runs well on certain hardware, and I guess I mean optimized for weaker and older hardware.

Alright, well, optimized usually means making sure it runs stable (no frame dips) at about the same framerate across all similar hardware.

It's not a question of being optimized here, newer games requires new hardware, people who pays for newer hardware wants to see it pushed to the limit, and being able to run on your hardware means the opposite...

I wish I could tell you it will get support for your hardware, but as it is, I don't see it happening...

Well. i mean its not like the can Optimized it for a system that run GTA 4 on 720P. That means no matther wat the do you just have to litte performance.

No i think tech yes city that dit a video on PUBG whit a gpu that has 1 GB of Vram and i cant play it even on low settings 720P sorry bud :/ (think it was a 670 form nvidia)

The GPU can run the game just fine (it's 6 years old and mid end when released, so let's say 25fps is acceptable)

CPU wise, even G4560 can pair a 1060 without slowing it down, so i5 750 is definitely enough.

it's already well optimized to me. It has much larger maps than games like csgo or overwatch, so there's hardly a way to make it run on toasters and calculators like csgo.

PUBG does show to have a tendency to favour Nvidia graphics cards. Modern 1060 run 16% faster than a 480, so it isnt "that" optimized in @Kevo05s logic

Considering that nvidia owns 60% of the PC gaming market, while AMD only has 20% (source) , I would assume that it is normal that the devs are more focusing on optimizing for nvidia cards. I meant making sure a 970 runs close to a 1060, as they are similarly powerful. Also meaning that the most used cards doesn't have too much micro-stutter and frame-rate drops... it doesn't have to be equal on both team red and team green, especially if they are using nvidia gameworks

Thing is, I saw multiple of those videos, and it only appeared to run decently when inside buildings.

Expecting large map multiplayer games from 2017 to run on 2009 hardware is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

I can run War Thunder completely maxed out on huge maps with 45 FPS stable. Maybe that's not a fair comparison, but if you look at videos of it maxed out, it looks pretty fucking good (meaning it looks so good, it looks like it would be kinda hard to run).

Again, what do you expect from a 6.5 years old mid-trim graphics card, running a open map game?

So it run eiter on DX9 or DX10. wel PUBG runs on DX11.2 your gpu is made for DX9/10 and later got a upgrade to DX11 so that dast mean it reans games like those didt in DX9.

I think 3D mark show it its best

Its on par whit a NVIDIA GTX 645. THATS A PREBUILD BS CARD ! A nvidia 750 is 2x times better sell your ATI and get a nvidia 750 you me need to add 25 USD but you get dubble the performance

I haven't played the game, I won't lie, and I'm not a graphics first guy, but that game looks horrible for the way it runs. I know, 100 players and all, big map, but that game still needs a lot of work and I'm pretty sure it can run better. I'm getting a better Arma 3 vibe here.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Sorry but your hardware is ancient and wasn't even anywhere near top of the line back then.

To put it bluntly: If you want to play any sort of modern games going forward, you need to invest 400-500 bucks into a new midrange system.

Question: Why did you invest like $150 into a high end mouse and keyboard and not towards a GPU?

Because at the time I was using a 7950. The reason I now have this 5870 is that there's something wrong with the 7950. It gets LOTS and LOTS of artifacts, freezes, crashes, and is just generally very unstable. Anyways, before all that happened and the 7950 was still working fine, I was still using a Dell membrane keyboard from the C2D era. I had the money and a decent enough system so I decided to buy the peripherals.
