I'd reckon this would come at $2500++, might as well just build a desktop and buy a decent 144Hz panel

Already, there's one thing I dislike.

 

The big RoG logo staring at your face on the huge chin.

 

I miss the times where RoG laptops didn't slap "REPUBLIC OF GAMERS" or that logo on the front bezel. I don't hate the logo, but I also don't like how it looks either. It looks way too "gamer".

I agree. As much as a 1080 in a laptop would be amazing to behold, I'm not about to attempt cooling a full 180w TDP GPU with already existing thermal density issues in a form factor that's well below what's considered sane for even the most potent desktop cooling. Unless it's under water, I'm not gonna bother. Sucks, yeah, but unfortunately the best we can do is a 1070.
