VMware Workstation VM Reset?

Hello guys and girls. I wanted to know if I could reset a VM machine, just like a fresh installation. I've got VMware Workstation 12 Pro.

if its windows you can just format it like you do on a normal windows machine

You should also take snapshots as you make changes so you can revert back to them if you ever need to.
