Hey guys.

At what temp should I get concerned about my i7 5930k?

According to Intel, the recommend it to sit below around 67oC, but around 5oC lower than that is optimal to help avoid any thermal throttling.

90oC at maximum but I'd try to avoid that kind of a temperature if possible.

That is case temp not core, generally with intel cpus anything under 95 is technically fine, though it is often recommended to stay under 80C core temp

where did you get that number? id love to see a source for that.

generaly Intel says its fine bellow 100C but i wouldent go about 85C in most cases

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Its the Tcase number for the chip on intel's spec sheet but Tjmax is the actually spec temp limit for cores
