Best remote for XBMC?

I was wondering what remotes you guys had the best luck with in use with with XBMC. I heard some remotes have issues with Windows and XBMC but work great using Linux.

Use a mouse and the ESC key. Works 10 times faster than any remote out there no?

Use the remote apps. I have the xbmc remote app on my iphone and it's way better than navigating xbmc with the mouse/keyboard.
