Stupid Question

Ya_Mi

Alright so if speaker needs tweeter, woofer and subwoofer in order to give u the sounds that single speaker cant give u.

So why headphone only had 1 driver on each side?

Does that mean those drivers are enough to produce each one of those sounds that tweeter, woofer and subwoofer can produce?

If so why cant it be implemented on speaker?

I know its dumb i even laugh myself asking this question but i really need an answer to this as brief as u can give me guys.

Thank u. lol

you can still get good sound without tweeters or a sub but it really helps to have them. each one takes its own frequency range so they can each be better built for that task. headphones on the other hand are so close to your ear its less of a challenge for them to take care of a 3 man job, that being said, audiophile headphones still don't come close to an audiophile home audio setup.

this is the simple explanation, im sure a super pro will come along with science and math to explain it better haha.

you can put al in one for a normal speaker, but the range wont be as wide, as the speaker needs to be way louder and bigger, which makes it tougher to hit high notes.

in headphones the speakers are smaller and dont produce as much sound, making it easier to hit all notes

Yes the reason is that we only had 2 ears imagine if u had 2 tweeter,2woof and 1 sub in each side..

Most headphone with multiple drivers i've tried are sounds so bad and people on the internet had the same experience.

The sounds just pop in and out and never work in harmony.

Lesson learned from buying Strix 7.1.

But my question is that if putting multiple driver on each side will worsen the sounds so they only put 1 driver that mean they sacrifice the sounds quality from not putting tweet and woofer or sub right?

or that 1 driver is enough and can produce every range of sounds that 3 of em combined?

Question isn't as stupid as you'd think

Quote

Since the audio signal is broken up into different frequency ranges to be sent to different speakers, it only makes sense that the speakers be designed to handle those frequency ranges. That’s where woofers and tweeters come in. A woofer is a speaker designed for low-frequency sounds and a tweeter is a speaker designed for high-frequency sounds.

sauce for quote and more info

The drivers in a run of the mill pair of headphones are fairly general purpose but don't offer the same quality as a decent pair of speakers.

So its better to spend $1000 on speaker rather than good pair of planar headphone?

The only difference is that whether u can annoy ur neighbor or not with it?

Never said headphones are inferior to speakers. Both have their uses and it's hella fun to annoy pesky neighbors, specially when they're twits. Also good for drowning out their horrible taste in music.

There are good headphones out there, but they're generally quite expensive

Satirical action horror from the late 80s?

There's definitely some cringe in it, by modern movie standards, but it's a pretty good one (7.3 on IMDB)
