Hey Guys!

I was recently planning a PC build on PCPartPicker, when I ran into a problem.

I had put an Intel i5-7500, a GTX-1060 and i was looking for a motherboard when my friend suggested the MSI H110M Gaming. I wasn't sure on it, but I rolled with it.

However, when i selected it for my concept build, it said the following:

Some Intel H110 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Anyone knows what this means? and what to do??

Also, if you have any recomendations for a Motherboard, lemme know

Thanks in advance!

Spiz~

Any H110 board needs a BIOS update to use Kaby Lake CPUs.

Any B250 board should be fine.

You didn't write the message, but i'm guessing there were compatibility issues. Older chipsets such as the H110/H170/Z170/etc... require a bios update to use Kaby Lake CPUs.

I'd suggest using something like:

Current Build
