I'm looking to build a new Ryzen PC since I could use the extra cores.

I run some servers, some VMs, and I stream so that is why I went with 32GBs of RAM. I don't care about getting 200fps at 4K or whatever so I'll be using my gtx 970 from my previous computer.

Budget is around $800-$1000

Here is build I am thinking of getting (I already have some parts/using some from my old build they're shown as Purchased for $0.00):

I wanted to have some RGB just to add some flair but I'm not doing anything over the top. I'd prefer the RGB go through Asus' Aura Software just to make everything go through one program.

Also for the ram would 2400 be good enough? I know ryzen has better overclocking with faster ram but I wasn't sure how much it affects it.

I have screens, keyboard, and mouse so I don't need any of those. I live in the US and I'm not really close to any Microcenters

Thank you in advance for the help! :D

The case can only hold a 175mm long PSU but yours is 180mm long. It wont fit.

Also, it's better to use fast RAM rather than a lot of them. So 16GB 3000MHz is better than 32GB 2400MHz. Even if you have requirements for a lot of RAM, going faster ones are better because you can add more in the future anyway.

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

It seems like your PSU is too big for that case, as for RAM, if RPG on the RAM isn't that important, I would get two of these. overall it would cost you $260 and they run at 3200mhz

Not better overclocking -- better performance in general.

ryzen inter-CPU communication is sped up by sometimes 50% or more with fast RAM, so there's less latancy, leading to better performance.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor  ($289.99 @ SuperBiiz)

About $15 more, but you get a better motherboard, faster RAM, and a tempered glass side window.

If you MUST get an Asus motherboard, I'd get this one;

I'm using that same PSU in my Core 1500 and it appears to be fine even though that said the max was 175mm. Will the 5mm difference make it significantly harder?

The Define C has 10mm less depth. You might consider a Fractal Design - Define S w/Window.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Maybe you will stretch the cable a bit more. Not a big deal if you think its fine

Hard to say, it might have to bend through cables to fit it in and the can go either way. Nothing might happen or throw force placed on the cable might cause it to come out a bit from the housing and short.
