Cpu cooler

So I have a 1500x with the stock cooler but when its on it goes to 70-77 degrees celsius so I'm thinking to switch to another cpu cooler. Which one should I get?

On a 1500X? You've lost it, man. There's absolutely no reason to put a custom loop on a 1500X. Hell, my 1700 reaches unsafe voltages before coming anywhere near thermal throttling, and I'm only running an H5 Ultimate.

 

@omeir20003, the Cryorig H7 is a solid stock replacement that will let you get a very nice overclock, and there's an AM4 kit that they'll ship you if you need it. The M9a is a smaller, cheaper Cryorig cooler that will cool on par with a Hyper 212 EVO.

I was thinking to get the Noctua NH-U12S cuz my budget is 100 dollars is that a good choice?

Its good choice and one I would pick rather than cheap coolers.

Yes, the NH-U12S is very hard to go wrong with in most situations.
