$460 Upgrade

What would the best option for me to upgrade my CPU, mobo, and RAM to for $460? I currently have an FX6300, MSI 970 Gaming Mobo, and 16gb of RAM (which I would like to stay at 16gb)

  • RGB would be nice
  • I would prefer it to have an I/O shroud
  • Compatible with hyper 212 evo
  • I would like it to be black, or small accents of color.

Thanks in advance!

I think he's asking what to upgrade to.

As to OP, what are you looking to do with your PC? Are you more oriented towards gaming or work where having more cores/threads will be beneficial?

But you will need an am4 compatibility kit for the hyper 212 evo here:

However it is currently out of stock but you may be able to find it elsewhere.

Mostly gaming, maybe a bit of editing

I would suggest you go with The Neon White One has suggested for an upgrade. You might have to wait a bit to get the brackets necessary to mount a 212 EVO but the 1600 (non-X) will come with a Wraith Spire cooler that should be more than enough until you are able to get the brackets.
