Hi everyone! I am about to build my first PC tomorrow! I am confident I will be able to build the PC tomorrow as far as assembly goes. However, after I get it all set up, it Post's, and I install

my OS, what will I need to do? Is it possible someone could give me a list, website, or video (or combination of those) that can help

me with this?

I know I need to set up hard drives and update and install drivers. I am not sure how to do those things. Also, outside of that I am lost. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!! For reference here is a link to all of my parts - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JptYjc

Also, I am not 100% sure if this is the right part of the forum to put this in, so if it is placed wrong please move it or tell me how/to move it

It is basically just about installing software you need. However, this video https://youtu.be/QG4LXw4Nd5U should help you with initializing your drives. Next step would be to download GeForce Experience https://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download for nvidia drivers. Then it comes down to personal preferences and requirements, e.g. Steam, Office, and stuff. I also recommend you to go through all the settings you can find (Start>Settings)

EDIT: I now spotted that you are ordering a anti-static strap, not actually needed, all you need to do is to touch the case time to time

  1. Get your OS disk or OS USB drive insert it into computer
  2. Ensure bios is set to boot from Disk or USB by going into bios with f2 / DEL
  3. Let OS Disk post,  press a key when it tells you -- follow instructions to install OS. insert Product keys
  4. Select your blank Hard drive,  format it so it can be used with your OS ( Find selections to format)
  5. Install OS,  get a drink, watch tv -- its gonna take a sec.
  6. Activate Windows when OS is done installing
  7. Windows 10 does a good job with grabbing drivers if your on a network already, insert mobo disk and any other disk drivers.  Install

When you're installing your OS, make sure to go to Custom (Advanced) instead of Upgrade

This will allow you to properly format your boot drive (your HDD can be formatted later)

And don't forget to do this when Windows is preparing your computer to disable microsoft spying:

I'd advise to download the GeForce Experience https://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download as you are always notified when new driver's up

Are there any programs I would need to be able to test my system and make sure everything is running properly? To make sure at higher loads there would hopefully not be any hiccups or issues? Standard programs for stress testing and measuring temps/speeds. Again, any and all help is appreciated. The internet is sort of varied on these things and they don't seem to have a solid consensus from what I've seen.
