Hey,

I found a very good listing for a lenovo that has an i7 6700 and 12gb of ram and I have a few questions.

1. I have heard that you cannot upgrade some pre built systems, can I upgrade a prebuilt lenovo in the future?

2. The GPU is quite bad so I was thinking if I can install a better GPU? but do you know if the PSU of lenovo can handle a newer GPU?

Thank you in advance!

Link the prebuilt.

Most of the time, they have cheap 400 watt power supply,

So you will probably need to change it.

1. CPU? Probably not. GPU? Sure.

2. As long as you have enough wattage, yes.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

tower looks pretty standard fare, you should be able to fit a 1050ti or so in there, a 1060 or further and you may need a psu upgrade.

I found this : power supply 180 watt. It's even worse than what I thought, so YES you will need to change the power supply

He is gonna change the GPU so it's useless to pay 50$ more for the 750 ti

but I shouldnt have problems with the lenovo mobo and new psu?

if you wanna upgrade the psu but the motherboard connector is proprietary, you should be able to find an adaptor. they don't cost alot, so you should be fine. motherboard shouldn't have any issues taking the gpu.

xDnot really relevant buy wut is this!

List 6700hq, then says close to but not quite 6700 speeds, I'm dying here

Intel® Core ™ i7-6700HQ processor you will not have to worry about any of that. Its 3.4 GHz frequency will allow you to carry out all the tasks you want quickly and can also reach 4.0 Ghz with the turbo boost .

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious
