What are you doing Origin

Guest

Whenever i have an Origin game up, and i click away from the window to multitask, the framerate drops from 60 to around 15. Usually i dont change windows while im playing, so it hasnt been a ginormous issue, but i am still curious why this happens. Any experience?

No idea.

are you in windowed borderless or fullscreen.

try switching from one to the other.

try switching to fullscreen (if you only have one monitor) and see if it fixes itself.

also try disabling the overlay?

thats completely normal for borderless windows.

you've switched to a different window, so the game is now a background process so its getting less resources dedicated to it

windows always does this, its working as intended

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.
