Compatible cpus for the Dell Dimension 3100/E310

I have a Dell Dimension E310 or 3100 with Intel Pentium 4 630 cpu that I want to upgrade. All I want to know is if I want an upgrade does it need to have the same fbs or the same generation in order to function with this computer.

You wouldn't notice any difference between the P4 630 and the highest end CPU supported by the E3100 (P4 650). Dual-core CPUs, even the dreaded Pentium D, are not supported.

wow that sucks, I thought maybe I could get a dual core but well now that I know I guess Ill keep the original cpu.. Thanks a lot anyways
