At random points my PC just cuts power then starts to reboot, I thought it was a power surge but noticed my monitors don't turn off and are plugged into the same extension cable. I think It is my PSU failing (i have a shitty cs550m). What do you guys think is it my PSU or something else. If it is my PSU can someone recommend me something ~600-700 watts that is cheap but more importantly reliable

could be anything really, bad PSU, over heating etc... what components do you have hooked up to your "shitty cs550m"

Intel Xeon X5650 OC'd to 4Ghz  Sapphire R9 290 Vapor X 4GB  |  Vengeance® K70 & M65  W10 Pro

gtx 1070 and an I5 4690K at 4.5ghz EDIT: If it was thermals I would think I would hear my fans spooling up heavily before the power cut

That's probably a power problem

make sure all cables are seated firmly at both ends.

make sure your power cable is firmly plugged in at both ends.

if that doesn't do it, then I'd lean towards the PSU being bad.

The Corsair CS650M is not shitty, if it is the problem, just RMA it.

I'd check to see if your power cables are plugged in all the way, and the power cable you are using isn't faulty.
