Hi everyone!

I have just built my new pc, but it doesn't start up. It did before so I don't know what's up. Maybe you guys can help me?

These are my specs:

Motherboard: ASUS Strix b250f

CPU: i5 7600

PSU: Evga 450W (don't know the exact model)

RAM: 16gb TridentZ

Storage: 1TB HDD

GPU: MSI GTX 960 4G (Going to upgrade to a 1070 in the near future)

Case: NZXT S340

So this is what happend: I was building my pc, everything was going as I expected. My PC started, everything was fine. Then I decided that I needed to restart my pc (do not know why exactly) so I switched the button of my PSU for a more quick way of shutting the PC down. I did this 2/3 times and after that nothing would start anymore. I don't know which component it is, I thought it could be the power button but that's not it either. The PSU works since the light on my MB light up. Now I am helpless.

If you can help me, that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

Take the battery out of the motherboard to reset the BIOS and then try again.

Have you tried another power button/bridging the 2 power pins on the MOBO incase the button is broken?

Yes, I think I did. I put my screwdriver between the 2 pins (I think thats how its done). Will I have to buy a new battery for my motherboard or not?

No you won't have to buy a new battery. Just take it out for 10-30seconds and put it back in. (Make sure to turn off the PSU first).

Are both ends of the power cable plugged in and does the outlet have power?

(Someone should really make a compilation of every time Linus forgot these basic things)
