Can someone help me set up raid 0 on my computer. I have 2 SSDs and need someone to walk me through it and like hold my hand. I was thinking discord or skype would the better option so that way someone can see whats on screen. im not technology impaired I swear I just need help.

Sorry but if you don't know how to Raid 0 your SSD's i assume your using it as your boot drive you shouldn't be Running Raid 0 as you are twise as susceptible to data loss than a single drive probably best to learn how to your self and learn how to manage backups.

yeah like other's said it might not be the best idea and it also won't give you much in terms of performance for SSD in a software raid 0. there's not enough headroom in the speed at which the operations are made compared to data transfer rate for you SSD. it's fairly simple though.

 

switch your motherboard sata controller mode from AHCI to RAID

then on boot you will have a window before bios splash screen with a press *some key* to run setup.

do that tell it which drives to put in an array (leave most pre-entered numbers at default)

and you're done, they will appear as a single drive to the bios and the system. (tho board explorer still sees both drives individually when you check the sata ports connected)

 

this will make S.M.A.R.T unable to report it's status so you will never get a notification of your drives failing. it's also one of the reasons why it's more dangerous.
