Nice. Why the unbalanced CPU/GPU? I would've gone for a 1600 and 1070/ RX Vega 56

Well , tbh I accidentally build this. Just before ryzen launched I won this case at my local PC hardware store in a facebook contest. The front accents are orange so I thought let's build a ryzen rig.

The gpu is coming from my old system and since I only play at 1080p this gpu will do the trick. I planned to upgrade the gpu as well but prices in the Netherlands are over the top due to miners...

My other hobby besides accidentally building pc's is rallycross and I often render my Gopro footage so I thought let's go for the ryzen 7.

solid reasoning, can't fault you for any of it.

should be running at 3.7 but keep taking 1.6ghz clock speed

Oke. Which board you got and which ryzen? The ryzen 5 1600 and ryzen 7 1700 got some weird bug when you dial in a manual voltage.

I got a gigabyte AX370 aorus gaming 5 . After the last bios update my OC failed as soon as I dialed in a static vcore. In the bios it was showing correctly but as soon as I booted in windows my multiplier was stuck solid on 15.5x.

I contacted gigabyte tech support and they send me a beta bios that I'm still running and it works fine now.

Well I just filled in a form on the gigabyte website and explained my problem. The day later I got a response if I wanted to try this beta bios so they send it. Dunno how asrock support works to be honest but I guess it's quite similar.

Maybe asrock got a forum as well we're they put up beta bios's to try out.
