Thumb Screw Thread Beyond Biting Point

Already tried that, it didn't work. Perhaps I if just pull harder it might.

The last time I opened and closed my case, I accidentally over tightened a thumb screw to the point where the thread will no longer touch the casing, meaning that it just turns and turns without actually unscrewing. Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this.

On my case (Fractal Design Define S), the two front thumbscrews have a threaded bottom and a flush midsection, so once you unscrew it from the case itself you have to pull on it until the thread meets with the front panel, at which point you can unscrew the entire thing.
