unRAID cache drive

I am in the middle of setting up unRAID and running PLEX I have the OS on a usb and currently have 1 1TB and 1 4TB hdd drives in this rig if it goes well I might add another 2 4TB drives for a total of 8TB of storage more than enough for my needs my question is I have a 240GB ssd with windows on it in this rig would it be advantageous to use that as a cache drive to speed things up or is that a waste of a drive I don't really have a use for it at this time so no loss there. Would like to hear others experience with unRAID as I just had a hell of a time with FreeNAS never got it working correctly when I had Comcast as my isp due to ip issues I now have fios and so far unRAID is working flawlessly with no hiccups yet.

I've never seen the need for a cache drive whether it's the Steam server, NAS/Plex servers.

i would use a cash drive but only if u need it for high speed aplicaions e.g.  runningt windows for ur gaming pc

its handy for file transfers if your transferring from a ssd or a fast drive or from several places at once

Am I understanding it right, lets say I upload a large video file and have it set to go the cache drive it will be a much faster upload then it will send it to the array on its own terms or in the background?
