Need help with this, thing

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

You can download the newest iOS file with your download manager and make iTunes flash and activate it. I forgot the exact steps since I left iOS when my iPhone 4S stops receiving future OS updates, but it should be doable.

Hi all, firstly I am no Apple guy here since I always used Android (Except for iPod touch) so I need some help. Someone gave me an iphone 5 (since I am waiting for my LCD+Digitalizer Combo of my Xperia) that didn't charged well so when i looked at the socket there was dirt, eww. So in the phone there was nothing ( like new) but when i looked at the configuration it had the apple ID. The Apple ID doesn't have the password so I can replace it with my like 5 year ago Apple ID but it asks for the password. I can't talk to the person now but I have tried restoring it but it says to update the iphone and I just updated it yesterday >:(. I really need some help with this, if I choose update and restore it has like a 2 GB File to download. There's a little problem, itunes is x75 slower downloading stuff than my Download manager so, well. This is about to trigger me tho. Thanks in advance (BTW I have a Windows PC so, no Mac. Andddd, I am doing it via the Download mode like the iTunes and the cable mode.)

Well lets try then. I have one question, I know the procedure you speak of but can I do same but with iOS 6? I really hate iOS 7+ for some reason...

Too bad, you can't. Apple has already shut down their activation service for old iOS, so you cannot pass the activation procedure. Without activation, you can't use it.
