Gtx 1070 extra fps

I bought the 1070 'cause i will be getting a 4k tv later.I know the 1070 isn't meant for 4k but it costs $530(on the edge of my budget) in bd and the 1080 costs $800(way out of my bugdet) in bangladesh.SO for the time being i am playing at 1080p.On most games i am getting some extra fps that doesn't matter much.SO is there a way to trade this fps with graphics 'cause my games are maxed out

Sell your 1070 and buy a gtx 1060 6gb or a used equivalent older model.

Also, to answer your questions just turn the setting higher and turn on fast vsync (google a tutorial)

I run a 1070 at 1080p, some games do use its power.

Wat.  A 1060 can't run 4k nearly as well, not a good solution.  This is planning for an upgrade, not future proofing.

Buy a G-sync panel or turn down the settings and enable fast sync. For the tv you'll likely need a 1080ti or more than that, look at Volta or the super high end Vega for 4K. The Volta 1080 will have the performance of a 1080ti so wait and see on that side.

Open Nvidia control panel, go to 3D settings, and enable DSR, and select all the resolutions (tick boxes)

 

You will now be able to sample your games at much higher resolutions than 1080P.

 

For instance i play Tekken 7, DOOM at 1440P.

Race Drive Grid 2 at 4K.

 

I use AMD's method known as VSR.

Fair enough. A 1070 can't really run 4K either. At least not on the settings he's used to. He's talking about maxed 1080p, a 1070 can't do that at 4k

You telling me you don't know what Dynamic Super Resolution is or Virtual Super Resolution?

 

It samples the game at native 4K (if you choose to enable it in game obviously) and displays it on any resolution TV or monitor you use.

If you have a 1080p Screen, use Factor x4.00 to enable UHD 4x the resolution, which is 3840x2160.

 

The Game will render in UHD, and scale it back for your 1080p screen. The sharpness/smoothness will be close to native UHD, and much cleaner. See the Page (example shots).

 

If you want to see the difference for yourself: Enable it, and switch ingame, and make a Smartphone picture very close, so you almost see the Pixels. And you will see, if you look at Gras or something like that, it will look MUCH sharper/smoother.

 

Or use any Factor smaller than x4.00.

 

Works wonders on older games...^^" My GTX 1080 can still render 140-160+ fps in Bioshock 1 Remaster, in 5k (1440p Monitor with x4.00 Factor DSR)
