So I have a prebuilt gateway pc with a i7 2600, 8gb ddr3 and a gtx 1060 and the only game I have been really playing has been pubg and im not getting the best frame rates and loading times so I was wondering if you guys think it is worth it to upgrade to like a ryzen 3 or 5? IDK give me your suggestions

Also I would use my 1060 for the graphics card

Ryzen 5 1600 would be nice for you to get you into a modern platform (one where motherboards last more than 8 months before becoming obsolete), 6 cores for better multitasking/future and DDR4 RAM. Anything less than the 1600 isn't worth it though, no point going from quad core to quad core. Especially an i7 which has remained virtually unchanged since 2012 because nothing has been happening at Intel. Or if you don't want ryzen but still want an upgrade Intel's coffeelake is being announced on 21/08/17 although won't be available to purchase for awhile.

would be worth for minimums and bump in average, loading times are because of slow hdd.

what games?

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/pTCpPs (i feel uneasy recommending corsair :( also, cheapest i could pick with my exclusion of the retailers i dont know in canada)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Im running a 2600K bit overclocked but still. Dont feel like my CPU is holding me back, you are talking about a game that is still not good optimized. If you run any other decent created game you will be more than fine.

If you think you PC is still fast enough (which in my case it is) then you shouldn't upgrade just yet and maybe wait what Coffee lake does.

Quote or mention me if not feel ignored

Loading times: Hard drives seems to be the hold up here, but replacing the CPU doesnt help with that much. That SSD is one of the slower ones among SSDs though, so that could cause slower than expected boot.

Frame rates: Get a 980Ti and it should go right up.

PUBG loading times suck, period. i7 2600 is still a good CPU, 1060 is probably more detrimental to gaming depending on resolution and settings..
