Ok thanks.

Hi, I am an first time PC builder and need some recommendations and some thoughts on this build. I am new to PC building but have adequate knowledge of computer parts and gaming. I am planning and wanting a Mini-Itx

form factor for about $1000 price range (not including peripherals and OS). I have started a system build list with my preferred peripherals, OS, and case but still conflicted on the parts. I would like to overclock in the future and a clean look in a (Lian-Li PC-Q37) Case.

Here is the link to the PC part picker list- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WTVtD8

Please comment if you see any incompatibilities, find a better price, or better looking components for the display styled case.

Thanks for the thought and consideration in reading this.

I'm pretty sure you need a 6th generation cou to update the bios before putting the i5 7500 in!

i was going with the same cpu but found that ryzen probably a better choice as a new generation of intel chips "coffee lake" is coming this month

Get a bee fier psu and get a 1060 6gb, 1070 currently is WAAAAY over priced due to mining. Also if you wanted to, you could spend 80$ more on your graphics card to get a 1080. I've seen them listen on amazon for around 510 consistently.

The SF450 is really good, and 450W is plenty for mainstream + 180W GPU

Not sure why you're going with a $200 case, then putting a Noctua fan inside it? (On the CPU cooler)

Ryzen 5 with the stock cooler will be a better overall build. Any particular reason why you're getting LPX memory? I think there are 3000 MHz kits for a bit cheaper, and Ryzen really likes fast memory.

Try to add an SSD if possible. Are you sure there aren't any cheaper 1070s available? The MSRP used to be $379 (damn miners).

There are lots of nice ITX cases that are cheaper, so unless you really, really want the Lian Li case, you'll get better value by going with one of those

:)

Keep in mind that a 25" monitor 1080p ultrawide can be smaller than expected.
