Yes, there's only one Unkown device but when I try to update it it says that It could not find the device for the USB Controller. I even tried to disable Xchi and Echi mode. X one freezed on startup, the E one was harmless. The drivers are from Intel's site

Make sure you install the VIA drivers too:

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H81M-E34.html#down-driver

The USB 3.0 Front Panel Header uses the Intel chipset (and thus the Intel USB 3.0 drivers), but all the connections on the back are through a VIA USB 3.0 controller. That's your unidentified device in device manager.

Hi all, I've been having problems with my build (Strangely I've had a lot but thanks guys for helping me out) but they are fixed now. My Windows 10 corrupted completely so goodbye XP memes :( and of course, my games. So I blew the dust from my oldie but goodie Windows 7 disk then transfered the install files to a USB using a laptop. After that I installed all drivers Video driver, Sound, USB 3.0, ect... But when attempting to use USB 3.0 it doesn't recognize ANY device. It does deliver power because I tried a USB Light and It powered no problems. I have 4 usb 3.0 on the MB and 1 in the Headers. USB 2.0 Works perfectly.

Specs:

 MSI H81M-E34

2x2 GB DDR3L

HD 7850 1 GB

G3258 at Stock( I didn't win silicon lottery :( )

Hyper Evo 212

430W watt PSU

Thanks in advance

EDIT:Here are some screenchots

You're sure you installed the correct USB 3.0 controller driver for your motherboard? Did you try going into device manager, and manually selecting the proper driver after installing it, just in case?

So I have to download and install the Chipset driver? Or BIOS? Am pretty sure the BIOS is H.5.

Under Drivers > [Your OS] > Other Drivers, download and install the VIA USB3.0 Driver.

I have been waiting for 10 minutes but it's still stuck at 0%. EDIT: It has Admin rights. EDIT 2: It had low priority, I turned it to normal now it installed perfectly. Now it reads 3.0 DEVICES!!! Yay!
