need a new CPU

okey so im new to PC gaming. but i messed up on purchesing the CPU. so can anyone recommend me a good AMD CPU for heavy gaming under $200.

okey i bought like im not sure its just not good enough for what i want to do the motherboard is good its just the AMD fx4350 processor it freezes a lot

that is not compatible with my motherboard witch has a CPU socket of AM3+/AM3

Return it if you can. That's a really, really, old crappy processor, i'd be expecting it to suck at gaming.

 

Ryzen 1600 and and any b350 motherboard is your best bet. It destroys the i5.

yeah but then i need a hole new motherboard if i go with that processor

If you can return it do that, if not an fx 8350 is your best bet.

If returning is possible do that and get atleast a 1400. If can't return it fx8350.

That seems solid. And with the R5 1600 you should still have some headroom for later GPU upgrades.
For RAM you could also use 2x "G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory".

That way you are able to maybe upgrade to 32GB in the Future, and it is basically a better Value at almost the same price.
