Vega Power Usage

What do you guys think the minimum PSU (based on system of course) would be suitable for power hungry cards, like Vega?

 

I plan to upgrade to Vega 64 from my R9 380, and I currently run a Corsair CX750M PSU.

I run a Core i5-3570 (non k) at 4ghz with an Arctic Liquid Freezer 120 on it.

The other things worth noting are:

1x SSD

3x Sata HDDs (7200RPM)

Asus Xonar Essense ST PCI version\

Elgato HD60Pro PCI-E

 

I ran Power Supply Calculator (Outervision), and they suggest a 619W, so I think I am fine.

 

I will probably get the limited one.

The air one.

 

The liquid one looks to only be in the Radeon Packs, and I know for a fact I would have to get a bigger PSU for that.

Then you probably will be fine, as long as you don't go crazy on overclocking it.

I'm pretty comfortable with my Seasonic G750 being able to handle Vega 64 no problem and I have a pretty aggressive overclock. I should think a non K 3570 based system will be fine with a 750.

I will probably leave it stock.

 

I am only gaming at 2560x1080 for now, but I want to be good for a while.

You'll be fine with your existing 750W PSU.

 

The power requirements account for the ENTIRE system -- and the "650W or 750W" requirements on the back over-compensates.

The Sapphire NITRO R9 Fury recommends a 750W for a single card....yet I have TWO powered by a 850W.

The last time I checked, the entire system pulls under 750W from the wall socket (PSU is plugged into a power meter).

750watt psu is enough to run dual 1080ti's in SLI.

 

especially with only an i5 in your system, power consumption will probably be at 600 watts max load.

How does a mobo draw up to 70 watts? For GPU power. But that 70 watts is also included in the GPU power. And RAM. It goes on and on.
