Hello, at my school there are multiple large TV's throughout my high school that we use to display information like, events, news, etc. Each tv is connected to a chrome bit via HDMI. My question is; Is there to display the same image to all the tv's at the same time with the ability to change them individually. I was asked to research this but I dont even know where to start. I was thinking along the lines of a hub of some kind. Thanks everyone.

The easiest way to do this would be to connect all the TVs to one system, it might be tricky in terms of video outs, but it can prob be achived with some adapters and splitters

I've installed this type of system in hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings. You need a splitter, distribution amplifier controller. This needs to be connected, in turn,  to a source like a cable tv input source, or video output device.

Best Excuses:

#1(simple) "Well, I never liked that stupid thing anyway!"

#2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."

yes, all the standards for ethernet are backwards compatible

Yes, depending on the source equipment. In schools they often can select the source. They can all display the same channel, or display different sources. Example: An educational channel is fed to all output devices, but an instructor may select a dvd device, or a computer to show/discuss a specific topic. Also the instructors computer screen/desktop can be displayed for instruction. It depends on what systems the school has available. They also have remote devices for extending/amplifying, and stand alone systems (usually for computer classes).

is it possible all from one computer. to manage and generate all the different video sources

right now we use google sign builder. it works great but since the bits use wifi, there are too many connection issues.

Yes, as long as it's connected to a distribution amplifier/controller.

I've only installed hardwired systems, not wifi systems. Often you must install extender/remote amplifiers, depending on the distance/building type. Wifi doesn't like concrete walls, remote buildings, or buildings with a lot of RF interference.
