1440 vs 1080?

xXBlackIceXx

I would say so, nice bump in resolution over 1080p but less taxing on hardware than 4K.

Is 1440 really worth the extra 200$

If I recall correctly its close to double the pixels of 1080p.

some people like 144hz at lower res and some like 1440p at lower hz.

I have a 144hz but I should have gotten 1440p (not that I could run it)

depends on monitor size and all but might be worth it to you. goto a store and see 1440p vs 1080p difference your self and choose maybe?

On the contrary, I use G-Sync and I'm very happy. Look up a video on YouTube about it.

I do agree on one thing: It's overpriced.

  • CPU = i7 5930k
  • Cooler = Corsair H100i
  • RAM = Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4-2666
  • Storage = Samsung 850 Pro 1TB
  • GPU = EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
  • PSU = Corsair 750D
  • PSU = Corsair 1000W
  • Monitor = Asus PG278Q

Well for 1440p 100+hz theres 2 cheapish options. Dell 23 inch gsync 165 hz for 570 or some other one without gsync for 525
