Titan XP vs 1080 TI SLI???

Which would be better, two Titan XPs, or three 1080 TIs in SLI?

 Three-way  SLI is not  officially supported by the 1080 TI,  so go with the two-way  titan XP

On paper? 3 1080Ti's in SLI, assuming you can get it to work.

The Titan XP is BARELY better than the 1080 ti, maybe a couple frames at most. two GTX 1080 ti's would be a way better option for the price, preformance (better overclocking), thermals, and noise.

If you're planning on purchasing, don't go more than two-way SLI, as most modern programs do not support it (neither does NVIDIA). If you have $$$ for days and don't want it go with the 2x Titan XP. The most reasonable would be 2x 1080ti, as it would perform basically the same for most practical tasks, and is much less expensive.

Well you can't really do 3 way SLI 1080ti. So you're going for 2x1080ti vs 2x Titan Xp, which the Titan Xp's would be better than the 1080 ti's by about IDK, 5 percent? However it's stupidly stupid in terms of price:performance. As a matter of fact, the extra overclocking with the non-reference 1080 ti's it may even be better. Anyways, don't spend an extra $800 for at MOST 5% more performance, and 500 megabytes of VRAM. 

 

TL;DR: The Titan Xp's are at MOST 5% better but cost over $500 more. Buy 2 1080 ti's.
