Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a swell weekend so far!

I wanted to ask you guys about the low fps I am experiencing in games such as Borderlands 2, Overwatch, H1Z1, etc,.

When I am playing these games I constantly have 100% CPU usage but my GPU never surpasses 60%. When I am playing I always make sure that most of my processes are turned off. I used to get around 75-90 fps on Overwatch a couple of months ago but now it's down to 35-50 fps.

Is it something wrong with my CPU being dual core? Is it bottlenecking? Do I just need to clean my PC?

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 @4.2 GHz

GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97MX- GAMING 5 LGA 1150

RAM: 8 GB

PSU: Corsair CX600

Monitor: BenQ 24-Inch Gaming Monitor - LED 1080p HD Monitor - 1ms- RL2455HM)

Storage: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB

Thank you for your time!!! :)

Your CPU sucks for the kind of gaming your doing, it's bottlenecked. get a 4790k

No lol. That is the power supply I have currently. I wanted to ask if that one is fine.

English man, the cx600 you own is horrible. Upgrade to a EVGA b2 power supply probably 650watts will do the job.

You could build a amd build that would crush that for like 300 using the am3+ socket and you would be able to play gta v at high settings at 45 fps get a used fx 8350 and a Radeon r7 260x by gigabyte 2 gb gddr5 oc eddtion and for love of god pick a good psu this time

No offense but:

1.) Did you hear about am4 and ryzen which you can get for cheaper with more performance? There is absolutely no reason to recommend am3 stuff anymore

2.) Cpus don't decrease in performance over time, its not an engine

EDIT:

3.) Raisimg voltage alone doesn't do anything but produce more heat. If you want to get more performance you have to increase clock speeds, and if a certain cpu is at an overclocked speed not stable, you slowly increase voltage.

If you want to help people out, know what you are talking about and do not spread misinformation and/or recommend totally outdated stuff

I was not ryzen is two expensive for the 300 dollar price range i set the fx 8350 is a octa core processor and would perform better then a ryzen 3 belive me i love ryzen i have a ryzen 7 1700x

I love it and am planing on getting a threadripper but a ryzen 3 is a quad core and cant stand up to its 100+ price tag a fx 8350 goes for like 60 to 70 usd

I don't understand what is wrong with the cx600, I have not experienced any problems with the power supply and I had it for over 3 years and nothing has happened.

CX600 has bad ripple, bad voltage regulation, and shotty components
