The TP-Link adapter is trash, however the link is a real hard gotcha. Not everyone has the choice to run their PC hardwired for a variety of reasons.

As others have recommended, a PCI-E wireless card would be a significantly better choice than that TP-Link WiFi adapter. PCI-E cards usually will not overheat or be bottlenecked by USB 2.0 speeds. Otherwise, it's a somewhat similar build to my own. Nice rig, enjoy it!

grab yourself a netgear ac1200 usb adapter or asus usb-ac56 as they are both inexpensive and decent, Unlike PCIe cards they have less interference by being outside your PC.
