Right from what I can tell you want a new computer and the options you like is

A. Custom made by you RGB desktop

B.) Mini ITX style build

C.) Laptop

OK. Well firstly I would just rule out the laptop. Unless you TRULY need that kind of horsepower with you 24/7 you really can get cheaper, better options, especially for a student. Any Chromebook is a good example. You could just get a chromebook AND a desktop. Obviously you do want a competent PC through but you don't have to limit yourself to just RGB or ITX. If your a first time builder I would go with mid-tower, or full sized, so thats ATX or EATX (Extended ATX) with an option for a side panel window. The NZXT S340 (Original or Elite) are good options for a case, weather its your first or not. Through I would reccomend checking out Hardware Canucks channel on YouTube for case reviews.

Bow down to me humans.

I can't help if you don't quote me. How am I supposed to know if you need my premium support? Now starting at £399.99 a year.

Also, be a sport and mark the correct answer as the correct answer. It will help pour souls in the future when they are stuck and need guidance.

"If it works, proceed to take it apart and 'make it work better.' Then cry for help when it breaks." - Me, about five minutes ago when my train of thought wandered.

Ok, now understanding your situation, yes a powerfull laptop may be a good idea. My personal is a laptop from the DELL INSPIRON series. Preferably the INSPIRON 7 series (more power) but the INSPIRON 5 series is good too. However if you want a portable desktop (Which i still reccomend over a laptop) Check out Bitwit's Go-Anywhere-Do-Anything-PC.

Here is the link:

I still study, in fact i have the best grades in my class, but I make time for my passion. I love video, photo and web design. I live in Spain & England (technically I live at both places - long story) and (no offence intended here, I respect your customs, and in a way agree with them) here we are not as.... strict with enforcing schooling. Again, I am not trying to insult your culture, but here it is just different. But yes. I am a content creator, something that is actually encouraged by my school.

Well, A: here is the Chinese link to Dell's page on the one I recommend. Its a solid laptop, and the price is good - through that may vary for you, and has great specs. It has a Intel core i5 on the base model, 8GB of ram and a GTX 1050. While that isn't a 1080, it has a better battery as any laptop with a 1080 does not last long as the card sucks power. In terms of upgradability its good, actually, here is the LTT video:

sorry. affect

Your not loosing that much with a 1050. Honest. I would reccomend a lower-teir gpu on a laptop in terms of power consumption anyway. But the Alienware one is good.
