So i did update my bios to the latest version and now i cant use my xmp properly which is annoying, i used to get them working properly before updating the bios. Now when i enable xmp its either my computer wont post or it works but then i cant boot to windows properly all the time. I have asus z170a motherboard and my current rams i have are g skill but asus agents told me that i had to buy the rams that are compatible from their ram compatibility page is that true? And now im running at 2700 mhz and i cant run at the advertised speed :/

RAM speed mainly depends on the CPU´s integrated memory controller rather then the Mainboard. If it really was caused by the BIOS update then go back to the previous version.

The Asus Z170-A seems a finiky board anyway, I only have problems with it up until today
