PLZ Help resolution not saving properly

Go to solution Solved by LeviBW,

LOL, just uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver and it fixed it. Should have done that before making a thread.

Sorry

So to start off the GPU I have is a gtx 1070 on the newest driver.

Ok so the issue I am currently having is that my windows automatically changes my resolution to 1680 x 1050. Earlier today I plugged in an old dell 1680x1050 monitor via Display Port to DVI cable just to verify it was still working. I only had it plugged it in for 5ish minutes. Now I have reconnected my PC to my Asus VG245H via HDMI which has a native resolution of 1080p. What is happening is that windows automatically set my res to 1680x1050 when I reconnected the display. When I change the res to 1080p in Nvidia control panel it runs at 1080p for about 3sec and then switches back to 1680x1050. And if I change the res to 1080p within the windows display setting it stays at 1080p until I close the settings window or Tab into another application.

I have restarted my Pc and it did not change anything.

Thanks,
