Man am I confused on this one...

Recently, I brought life back to an old windows 98 desktop. It didn't work before so I reinstalled Windows 98 and it worked. The only problem was getting files off of it.

Issues:

- IDE to SATA adapter won't recognize old HDD (but the HDD works on the old computer?)

- Windows 98 does not work with new flash drives (drivers)

- The old computer won't recognize the two functioning CD-ROM's connected (drivers?)

- Still runs Dial-up so the internet won't be available

All I need to do is remove my documents! It's only 350MB and It's taken me a week to get them off! I know I need drivers, but I can not find a way to get them onto the system!

Any and all help is appreciated

- Ethan :)

Make sure the computer does not have access to the internet. Lest you want an open invitation to malware.

Although maybe Windows 98 is so old that modern malware has no effing clue what to do with it. :)
