Should I get a shine 2, shine 3 or k70? The k70 is red switches the others are black. I haven't tried either but I was kinda leaning toward red cause my friend like them but I found blues a little light so blacks might be better for me. The shine 2 is $20 cheaper. I really like the lighting on the shine 3. I want a wrist rest but I might not have room on my desk for it. What do you guys recommend for me

They are all good. Pick the one with the features you like (like the volume scroll thingy on the corsair one, or the lighting modes on the ducky ones). also the k70 has read switches, but you heard blue's are light so you are leaning towards blacks? Please clarify. Also I don't know if there is any point of buying the shine 2 with the shine 3 being out, I don't know too much about ducky.

Go to a store and try out the switches. To me, brown sounds like your best bet.

If he'd found Blue to be light, then Brown would be even lighter. Black is linear and 10g heavier than Blue, and 15g heavier than Brown.....it sounds like OP has not tried out the usual four common switches yet.....other than Red. You really ought to try out the other three (Black, Blue and Brown) before deciding. I actually prefer heavier/stiffer switches myself, personal fave MX switches thus far are Clear, Black and Green. I have tried out White which is stiffer than Blue with a subtle click.......I like it, I also have access to Gray and I like it as well.

If OP like stiffer switch types, I believe Cooler Master has a Quick Fire keyboard with Green, but can't seem to find any link to it right now.....perhaps it's an EOL product, just like the Trigger I have which happen to have Green switch.
