I recently built a ryzen 7 system, and am looking for some advice about purchasing a GPU upgrade. I originally just  used a GTX1050ti I had leftover from a eGPU project, but this is somewhat a bottleneck in certain applications.

To start with, the system it will be going in is:

Ryzen 7 1700x Currently running 4.025 GHz, 1.4v.

Asus Crosshair VI Hero

16gb (2x8gb) G skill flare X 3200MHz CL14 (currently running 3466MHz)

Corsair 460x case

EVGA 850G2 PSU

I also have 2x 1920x1200 60Hz montiors.

This is where it gets a little tricky, as I have a push-pull fan setup on a 40mm triple 120 radiator in the front of the case, limiting max GPU length to 280mm (flat of the IO plate to the back of the card). If the card is this long, it will have 1-2mm clearance from the fans. So 270mm is really the max length I am prepared to go for.

I use the system for gaming, solid modelling, programming and some image/video editing.

In terms of gaming, more demanding titles such as rise of the tomb raider I would want to play on 1 screen at max settings, however older titles, particularly multiplayer racing games such as dirt 3 I play on a 4k tv with friends.

What would you recommend I buy?

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.
