Overclocking

Hello, I want to overclock my AMD FX - 6300 and I have a 78LMT - USB3 Rev 6 board. I only want help with The Bios Settings, I do not know what to disable before overclocking, I know turbo mode but  that's about it. Can someone please help me. Thanks.

Why is this in the graphics card sections? Also I don't think that board can overclock.

Yeah, I looked it up, although it's limited on the VRM design, I bet it can do 4GHz at least. How's your cooling because this will get hot quickly if it isn't good

I just installed a new cooler, Arctic Freezer 7 pro.

I mainly want to overclock because I have a 1060 and because the 6300 can't keep up with a 1060 it slows it down a lot and a overclock should help a bit

Hmm, that cooler should do for a mild overclock, first thing is to get something to read the CPU temperature accurately, on FX CPU's the best is AMD overdrive IIRC, that's all for the OS side of things though. First you're gonna wanna disable most of the power saving settings for now, virtualisation too maybe, and set voltage to manual. Do you have a black edition CPU?

I have silver, The temps are just fine. I want at least 4ghz.

It is also difficult to game because the bottleneck is causing stutter and to fix I have to limit my fps, which is annoying.

I'm not sure what silver is(A black edition CPU isn't  black it just means the multiplier is unlocked) but temperature monitoring for FX chips is a complete pain in the ass, however Ok, once you have disabled the power settings, start by also turning off turbo because we'll be manually setting the clock, set the multiplier to a 20 if the CPU baseclock is at 200MHz. that will give 4GHz
