Hello LTT Forum,

I just built my new pc and my video card is not working. The Graphics card I have is a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB and my motherboard is a ASRock AB350M AM4 AMD Promontory B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. I have a Corsair CX550 and when I start up the computer the bios does not come up. It came up once but then it hasn't again. When I turn on system the cards fan will spin and stop and keep doing that. What can I do to fix this, aster spending so much time building I'm very ready to get it working.

Well the card spinning up on start up and stopping is standard on startup so it's not like that is pointing to a gpu failure. You have the monitor hooked up to the gpu correctly? The connection didn't get dislodged or anything?

found the problem, I'm an idiot. The eight pin connector on the top was unplugged.

Hey better to be an idiot than to have a broken gpu. I remember when I thought I had a weird software issue not allowing me to complete the install of windows 10 but realized one of my ram sticks in half in. It was so weird went all the way to the windows logo loading wheel and would freeze. Thought that ram couldn't possibly be the issue and never checked until my friend nagged me into it.

@Brooksie359 I re-did some stuff on my Bros gpu and then,  uh oh, pc won't post!  Spent 2 - 3 hours troubleshooting and finally realized it was the sata...

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

yeah sometimes you just have to check literally everything one by one until you find something off. I swear sometimes with PCs the thing that is wrong is the last thing you would ever look at.
