Won't detect GPU on powered risers.

Asus x99 deluxe mobo

Corsair 850w + off brand 800 watt (riser power)

2 SSD Raid 0

Gtx 1070 (5)

powered pci risers

 

 

I can't get my computer to consistently detect the gpus via riser. It will detect 2, then only one, then none. Now my mobo is throwing a AE code. From all my research I have found this setup will work to run at least 5 gpus on this mobo. I will have a 1600w power supply next week. Still can't get 3 cards up successful.  Running thin...
