CSGO Tips and Must-know

Hello there, before we start off, i just wanted to thank everyone who has helped me. 

 

Anywaya, i know i can search this up on youtube, and i have, but I want actual average player feedback. For example, i was trying to kill a guy with a shotgun that was pretty far from me. Then someone told me it was impossible to do that. I want tips like that, also im in need of players to watch who play csgo. Like proffesionals to watch and learn from

As for pros to watch, just go on Twitch and look at popular streamers. Checking out VODs of previous ESL matches might be a good idea too to get an idea of how high level play works. More than anything, just play it yourself! As for any game, experience will teach you the most. You could have quickly learned through trial and error that a shotgun is not effective at long range. Just have patience and rack up some hours

it took me 3 years but I went from silver to SMFC, but i currently reside in the DMG rank. all from just playing and learning myself

Shotguns are short range weapons. The bullets spread too much to shoot from a far range.

Some general tips would be:

- Crosshair placement: Keep your crosshair pointed at where the enemy should be coming from. Try to also keep it around head-height, for easier headshots.

- Walking: Make sure to walk when the enemy could hear you coming. It can make a massive difference in a final 1v1.

- Spraying: When spraying with an SMG, crouching can improve accuracy. Aim slightly below the feet, and keep the crosshair there.

- Learning patterns: Learn spray patterns of weapons like the AK-47 and M4A4/M4A1-S.

- Desert Eagle: A lot of new players try to use the deagle, and are horrible at it. Shoot slowly, don't spray.

- Communication: Talking to your teammates is one of the most important things to do. Coordinate attacks, warn where enemies are, etc.

- Buying: Always buy kevlar and helmet when you can afford it. On CT side, always buy a defuse kit.

1. Are there any other weapon tips I should know about? Like maybe a starting gun only shoots from far or something.

2. Do you mean I should crouch when the enemy can here me?

1. In most cases, common sense should help you out. SMGs, pistols, and shotguns are short range, rifles are long range. The Zeus only works from very close.

2. Not crouch. Holding shift will let you move slower, and walk. It makes no noise.

3. Spray patterns are based on recoil. Basically, if you hold LMB and fire a gun without looking around, where the bullets will go. They spray upwards, due to the gun's recoil. To control that, you need to keep moving the mouse downwards as you shoot. It's a bit hard to explain, I'd advise looking up some video tutorials. The spray patterns are different with each gun.
