So I've been modifying my build for a long time, trying to get the look of the build to be just perfect :). If anyone has feedback on the look of the PC and/or the actual important parts, please let me know! Budget is ~$1100. I have two hard drives cause I want to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows on separate drives.

You forgot to add SSD into your build.

And about motherboard ... not sure if you can OC on AB350. I would rather give 10-20$ more and get B350 at least.

Great! Are you sure it's an AB?  i am not an expert in the new ryzen mobos. But I think B350 and X370 are exclusive to overclocking.

the A is just there to confuse you. its a B350 motherboard, not an A320 nor is it a mix of the two.

OP you forgot the SSD, and for $1100 i would think you could get a 1070 in there

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

2TB HDD costs cheaper, and you can still create separate partition for OS to boot from.

Save the custom cables and the money saved from going to 2TB and get an SSD.

Good build. A couple of things though, one custom cables are kinda a novelty item and would recommend putting that money towards a different aspect of your rig, and two don't buy WD Blue's. I would recommend getting a single 2TB HDD with a SSD for boot.

SSD is missing. Really, you need one. Makes a huge difference

Also, is it possible to put both Windows and Ubuntu on the SSD or just one OS?

Depends on the size, but both are fine.

Great that you have SSD now.

You can have Windows and Ubuntu on there (dual boot), but you might run out of space if you will be installing a lot of software on that SSD.

I'm thinking that I just partition the 2 TB drive. One Terabyte will be for games (Windows) and other will be just normal stuff (Ubuntu), since Ubuntu is my primary os

Awesome, thanks for the help! Just got one more question. The NZXT s340 Elite is an awesome case, but the true case I want is the Phanteks P400 Tempered Glass. It includes one rgb led strip, but as far as I know I can use any lighting effects on it (flashing, breathing, etc.). Do you guys think it would be possible to install the Deepcool RGB 350 strips in there?

Yeah, but I don't think there is any way to sync them.
