nintendo switch Can I USB-C (male to male) a Nintendo Switch DIRECTLY to my monitor

Hi Guys,

 

I recently upgrated my monitor to a LG 29UM59A, 29 inch ultrawide, with a usb type C input supporting alt mode signals. The thing is, this monitor has only one hdmi input. I have already connect my pc to it...

And i got a Nintendo Switch which uses usb type c for charging and signal passing. I was wondering if I can connect these two pieces with one single usb type c male to male cable without the dock.

If possible, can i charge my switch from my monitor.....

To keep it short. No. All video signals requires the dock.

 

The only thing you can(maybe) do from monitor's USB port is charge the switch, and probably not even at full speed.
