Hi guys, just wondering which of the two runs cooler? I know they are essentially the exact same thing just one is at a lower voltage , both are 95w tdp so if i wanted a cool running chip (not that these chips exactly run cool) which would be the best for me? Links below

Well 8300 have lower clock speed by 700MHz ... so it would run cooler.

But why would anyone be buying that kind of CPU today?

We have Ryzen out there, that performs much better.

8xxx is power hungry chip, however you turn it. IPC is horrible and it's dead platform.

I would suggest you to invest money in Ryzen and AM4 platform, since you will be able to upgrade it to Zen2 and probbably even Zen3.

Think the E versions were more optimized for better voltage/temperatures if I'm remembering correctly.

I would highly suggest the r3 1200 instead roughly same price way more life and well to be honest you aren't buying a dead platform 4 years when that cpu isnt enough you can upgrade to r7 1700 or maybe whatever the next gen am4 stuff there is

Im upgrading from a fx 4300, I don't plan on going to ryzen until I hit the end of the line and get 10fps on my games lol

I'm just not in the market to upgrade to a whole new platform yet, not as long as I still have my working MB , and I still get very acceptable fps in games with my 4300, just need something better for multitasking
