So I'm way overpriced for my build, but I really want it to look good. I've heard cable extensions are a really nice touch, but they're quite expensive. Like the title said, are they worth it?

Why the Rx580 4GB?

Made a couple tweaks. I wasn't sure if your desk could support a 27" monitor but if it can you can add this:

It's a placeholder right now, I'm waiting for GPU prices to decrease. Also desk is kinda small so can't get 27''

No they are not worth it.

You will get same performance from your PC with or without those cables.

And if you get extensions, you will have even more cables in your PC.

But does it look great once you are done with cable managment? 100% yes.

Ah, dang.

Yah, it's nice to have a monitor and gpu with the same technology.

Only G-Sync monitors are like $300+ so not good :(

Well, hopefully the Rx580 8GB comes down in price soon and you can pick one of those up for about the price of a 1060 6GB

Did forget to ask why the two drives but that makes sense.

If it's within budget, maybe toss an SSD in for Windows booting but otherwise, looks pretty good :)

SSD is definitely late down the road. Is it possible to have two HDD's now, then buy an SSD in the future and move the Ubuntu OS onto such drive?

Yah, I'm almost 100% sure there are free cloning utilities that can do that no problem :)

Don't ask me ... I will throw whatever I want into my PC for most stupid reasons.

But if you want to have it look nice and clean, I would suggest cable mod or something in that area.

I used Extensions, and it only makes bigger mess with cables. So I would recomend you to go with custom cables, or just use stock ones.

Unless you have some gigantic case, and cables are too short. In that case extensions are a good idea.

How would I get custom cables?

Nevermind found it on CableMod. $11 more, but I'll use it. Should I get custom cables for the 24pin connector, 8 pin, and 8 pin PCI-E connector, just as the Phanteks one?

@ChackoM you can check out our list of resellers as well to see if you can source them locally for cheaper, we have premade extension kits. The dual 6+2 kit would be identical to a two 8-pin configuration but give you better future compatibility should you upgrade GPU's.
