Need help overclocking

I have a x5670 running on a x58 MSI Pro- e and I just can't seem to find anybody with an overclocking video on it. There's so many options you have to take into account when overclocking on x58 boards because its not just bump up the bc and run with it ive tried. So I'm looking for someone who can aid me at overclocking this processor.

You can use any overclocking guide that covers the x5600 six core series like the x5680 or x5690.

I tried all of them and it gets me to the windows flag and then just crashes and the Crash screen doesn't even come up all the way it like glitches out and I can't even get into recovery to fix anything about it. I have to default everything and then get back into the BIOS to tweak some more but I've spent maybe 3 or 4 days on this and I can't get it

honestly then , don't overclock it. Even when overclocked the x5670 isn't going to be much different , short of changing to an x5690 or doubling up your x5670 I wouldn't count too much on gaining much speed here.
