if that's all this platform is going to be for (gaming) an R3 should last you a long time, especially if your short term plans ARE your long term plans.

Missclicked enter before i wrote, Lets say we know in theory how r3 will perform and im looking to upgrade to ether r3 1200 or r5 1400 and i dont know is it worth it. lets say i have 33k of money, r3 is 12k, asrock b350 pro 4 is 11k and 8gb of 2666 of raShould i go for cheaper motherboard or even a320 and r5 1400?

well, i wouldn't use it for professional video editing, nor would i use it to attempt world record overclocking. if neither of those apply to you, perhaps you could enlighten us as to YOUR use case for this computer? what are your plans, both short term and long term?

I would get a B350 at minimum so you can put a OC on the CPU. (even a small OC would be nice, 3.8 should be easy)
