Gigabyte or MSI

I'd go with the gigabyte wind force or msi gaming edition.

Beat me to it

:D

But sure did wish the Asus card came with bf4 it truly is the best card there (my own opinion)

dude you crossed out the best ones.

if it was me i would go for the ASUS DCii card no questions asked. because they have built a motherboard level VRM on to that graphics card and the cooling solution is farbetter than anything else.

but if i had to choose i would either go for the cheapest one or the one that has the best cooler and or over clocking.

gigabyte has a good cooler  HSI is a reference design which means waterblocks are supported.

Why?

These two brands have the best cooling option by far

Thats true. BF4 is cheap on Amazon right now. What do you recommend about the Asus?

because i have used asus cards and use it currently

if you take a look at the card it self you can see how well it is built. and the cooler is also very good. much better than a lot of things out there.

the tipple slot one is even better

I had the 7970 Asus Matrix edition, which is the same card and based on my experience, I would't go with it. I got it from an open box item at newegg, and it was dead on arrival. I RMA'd it, and they sent it back working. But it was loud and hot due to the insanely high factory core voltage they had on it. It was 1254mv. It could be adjusted slightly, but it was still hot. After 6 months, it broke AGAIN. This time, I sent it back, but because it wasn't a popular card, I had to wait 1 month before they had a replacement. During this month, I frequently messaged Asus about the status. At first they were quick to respond, but they soon STOPPED replying to me at all.  It was the worst customer service I had ever seen. I finally got a card back. It was brand new, and I couldn't wait to play some games on it. But this one was even hotter and louder. I had to turn the fans up to 80% just for it not to exceed 83c. Needless to say, I sold the card, and bought a wind force 780. It was SO much nicer. You can barely hear it, and temps rarely exceed 70c. Go with the wind force if I were you

oh yeah, and it is a triple slot cooler, and it is about 1 inch wider than a regular gpu, so don't even think about the ability to crossfire it with the stock cooler. 2 cards just won't fit in fire on a normal motherboard

This is because you bought the biggest and worst of the Asus

I would definitely recommend the Asus cu2 though, it's really good and haven't heard of any big problems with it (280x wise)

are you stupid or something? I owned both the wind force and the dcuii. I've experienced them both. if you want, look at my topics I've created. I've made at least 2 topics just due to problems from the card. How is the fanboyism ?

the Asus card they are talking about it the 280x matrix, the card I've had to deal with, not the dcu2. Look at the op. There's a picture of the matrix

still don't see how this is fanyboyism. You have no experience with the Asus Matrix or the Gigaybte, so who are you to tell me what fanyboyism is.

Lets be honest, GPU's are mass produced, and anything mass produced will have some faulty units.
